The ESPY collection:
This collection was created by The ESPY Awards Marketing
team, headed up by Rachel Mack, to raise awareness about
The ESPY Awards and to raise funds for ESPN's premier charity,
The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Rick Chapman,
a photographer from San Francisco, traveled across country
to capture these athletes in a natural environment of their
choice. Twenty-five ESPY award winning athletes participated
to raise over $300,000 for cancer research (a portion of the
proceeds also went to the athlete's charity of choice).
The ESPY collection hanging in the 40/40 Club in Atlantic City
is ESPN's 25th Anniversary commemorative set of 25 images
and is available for sale at the starting bid of $50,000. Each
photograph is an original limited edition hand signed by the
athlete and photographer.
